Patrick Thompson of CoinGeek moderated a panel session “Consumer Payments, Incentives & Rewards with Bitcoin” at the CoinGeek Zurich Conference. Three panelists joined Thompson: Phuong Dinh of Mijem Inc., Dr. Maximilian Sinan Korkmaz of Stabilwek Bau and P2P Software, and Bernhard Muller of Centi Ltd.
Dinh gave a brief overview of Mijem, referring to the company as an online social media marketplace, especially for GenZ. He told Thompson that Mijem caters to GenZ; therefore, they chose BSV because “millennials prefer a technology that is energy efficient.” In addition to that, Dinh shared that Mijem is a cashback loyalty system platform where users earn cashback in BSV for each successful transaction on their platform.
Moving onto Stabilwerk, based in Frankfurt, Germany, is a platform with ongoing projects that tokenizes the relationship between all actors of construction projects, according to Dr. Korkmaz. When asked if BSV can replace fiat, Dr. Korkmaz stated that BSV is not yet a 100% alternative to fiat, but Stabilwerk uses both of them together. However, he pointed out that BSV could replace fiat in the future.
Next, Muller described Centi as a platform that integrates payments, makes consumer rewards/loyalty points, vouchers; precisely, “everything small or medium businesses on paper that are on-chain.” Muller cited that BSV is fully compliant and offers massive saving potential, stability and scalability. He pointed out some unique use cases of BSV: streaming scenarios, for instance, videos, or IoT machine payments, applications with zero ads and spam, etc.
